Josephine's Modern American Bistro - A Culinary Gem in Flagstaff, AZ

Has the chiefs special and it was amazing! We had a wonderful waitress. Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a nice quiet dinner! Big wine list

The BEST restaurant. INCREDIBLE. Every single item on the menu has incredible flavor and presentation. It is a great atmosphere, not loud, great service, and quality food. I can’t stop thinking about the meal pictured and the baklava baked Brie. 10/10 would highly recommend this place in Flagstaff.

First time to visit Post CoVID. Another unexpected slightly hdden gem in a converted 1911 house. The setting and history are unique, cozy, and comfortable. Our server Dan was very helpful and attentive. The menu is full of unique & creative dishes. Many appetizing options. The salmon was one of the best that my dinner partner ever had with plenty of flavor and visually unique and appealing. The Mexican chicken with mole was very nicely plated with an interesting spin of ingredients and very flavorful with perfectly cooked bone-in chicken. The suggested paired wine, however, wasn't the best match for the chicken entree. Would try a different wine pairing on a future visit.

Absolutely loved dining at Josephine’s Restaurant in Flagstaff! The food was phenomenal — each dish was beautifully prepared with great flavors and creativity. The atmosphere in the historic house was cozy and charming, and the service was attentive and welcoming throughout the evening. From appetizers to dessert, every bite was delightful. Highly recommend for a special dinner out!

My husband and I found this hidden gem on a cross-country road trip from San Diego to New Mexico. It has amazing atmosphere and they actually let us in 15 minutes before they open so we wouldn’t have to sit out in the cold. Some of the best filet mignon we’ve ever had and the service was terrific. We will make sure to make this a stop anytime we were in Flagstaff. Highly recommended!

We dined here on a Monday night and everything was absolutely wonderful. We ordered the filet mignon and the short ribs, both were cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. From the fresh bread to the salad and wine, every detail was spot on. Our server, Marie, was incredibly sweet and very accommodating, which made the whole experience even better. We’ll definitely be back!

It’s easy to understand why Josephine’s is so highly rated. The menu offers a creative blend of flavors — we enjoyed the baklava baked Brie, butternut squash bisque, Mexican chicken cordon bleu, and sweet potato gnocchi. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of depth, with just a hint of spice to keep things interesting.

We had a nice dinner at Josephine's. The crab cake as a appetizer was my favorite. I loved the spicy jalapenos sauce. Also the main course filet mignon convinced me, the meat was on a high quality level.
